What's in your suitcase?

Hello everyone!
Sorry for the delay, my beautiful and quite clumsy cat decided to erase my work. So, in stead of rewrite the same stuffs, I decided to wait a bit and find something new  and the subject of this week is holidays, particularly what to take, what to toss and off course what you can't leave without even for 1 week.
The first step to remind you of is: take mini sizes and samples! Don't bother decant you're luxury products into those special 100ml containers, I always feel I'm loosing some of mine when changing bottles or this mini sizes pedicure bag from H&M.

This is one the many options you can find, one is at ICI PARIS XL

1,95€ it exist for feet and hands, different colours

Another step that's not neegligeable, when you're buying cosmectics, ask for samples! they usually don't give good stuffs, but you can always find something that'll suit you.

Now, we all know that with the new flight rules, you can't really put your entire make up cabinet in your toilet bag, no worries! here is why:

When you are travelling in the south, therefore in the sun, you will not need your exactly-the-same-skintone-than-your-ice-white-skin-colour-during-the-year, so don't take it! Prefer a compact foundation who is one or even two colour darker than you usually wear because you will bronze and once again a gain of place in your suitcase.
This one is really handy, it is foundation,
a councealer and a highlighter!

Also, prefer waterproof wake up, nobody likes to redo their make up after 15 min out! Plus, it's not very pretty to look like you're melting all the time is'nt it?
Ladies, is it pointless to take ALL of your eyeshadows because you are sure that the red you bought six mounths ago will suit you better in 36°C...Recommend joining entire make up you've already tried out instead of a buch of different colours who will take-again-to much place into your full of clothes travel bag or suitcase. Even better, if you have duo, trio or quad, take THEM! less plastic containers stuk together, less break... Same for clothes, it is useless to only take 100 shirts for only 2 skirts and one pair of jeans. What I'll do is try load of outfits home and the ones I love, I TAKE (it is not only the time to empty your dusty eighty-kinda closet, but the discovery time)
Last but not least, if you're really dying because you can not take to one pair of shoes that weight 2kg, kindly ask your better half if could put them inside their two shorts two shirts one swimsuit kinda guy!
Hope this helps for some of you, let me know like always what you think/like/dislike.

'till next time,
xoxo

On holiday!

No it is not the song of Green Day passing trough my head, it is the sound of summer. Not this fake kinda rainy crap we've been having for the past two years. I talking about what everyone aspires to when may shows it's nose and that students steals jobs all over the city.
this year is Zorba's time to shine, yes Greece indeed! Welcome to the beach, the sun, the sigal's songs and the teeny tiny bikini ! And the man, off course who will attending this beautiful country of mine for the first time. Oh joy to finally stop worrying (even for 10 days) about what kind of clothes a woman should wear on a supposably called summer season. Bikinis every days and shorts every nights!
Rodos, here we come. But not quite yet, before the plane flies, a fiew shopping articles must be found and hurray it is still sales time to shine!
Severals must haves are of course the sunscreen because people know that dead-white skin does not enjoy 35°C right away and who wants to come back home looking scrimpy? (the colour, not the anatomy), the beloved bikinis and flip-flongs are also joying the party.
Ah sometimes I wish theses 3 items could be enough for my well beeing but..Never without my make up, dresses and heels!
Until then, wish you have the best holiday destinations!
xoxo

Did you say hot?

Wilkome, bienvenue, welcome...
We are now the 21st plus 5 and yes, IT IS SUMMER TIME!
As I am pretty sure it's not going to last ages (2 days??) I decided that enough is enough as so, put out my pretty summer dress, and my pretty little brown shoes and of course, THE sunglasses ( ray-ban vintage bought 3€) and went shopping.

Here are my purchases of the june/july 2012

1) Clinique liquid facial soap 16€

Do I need to comment the brand? It is simply a soap without any chemicals or perfume. Mine is mild to oily skin but they do all types of skin. I bough it in a ICI PARIS XL but you can find it everywere.

2) Yves Rocher correcteur teint/ concealer 3,95€

I have it in 01 clair and in 02 medium ( for friends or for my makeup kit)

I already list it on my 1st blog but I kinda fell in love with it and since I'm not particulary lucky, I choose to buy it twice while it was still on sale because I didn't want to put myself to the decepointment of finding another really good concealer.

3) Catrice Eye brow pencil "Brow-n-eyed peas" 2,49€

I had the same in a lighter shade, which is good for me but right now I'm letting my brows grow a bit so I thought I'd try something similar but darker.

4) Catrice eye shadow base 3,99€

Haven't I said I would try something a bit less cheap for my eyes? I did! 3,99 against 2,99...
Hope it works....

5) Kruitvat Rose water 1,50€

I use it for after my make up removal, feels fresh and clean on the skin.

I apologize for the pictures that I took from the internet but the stores have the nasty habit to put anti-teft tag on like everything! so mine are a bit messy and i didn't wanted to have you look at them ...

'till nex time!

21st monthly breakdown

Hourra it's the first day of the belgian summer 2012...Or it should be. Yes, as always up in the north today is grey and cloudy and windy and sooo not the day to put out the pretty little white dress to go with the pretty little blue shoes...

OOTD: black jeans, with red and white shirt and red flats... Autumn like.

What's your summer like? And what kind of clothes are you in?

Midnight + fullmoon = insomnia

So, here I am now, completely addicted to this blogger life since I'm behind my screen writing in the middle of the night and when i'm not, i'm simply thinking about what i could write about...Insane isn't it?
Today, tonight's article is about eye primer...You see, I have the kind of skin that doesn't like to be easy with the cheap products on the market. It's been forever since i've tried to find anything to stick to my lids.At first I thought it was the brand of eyeshadows that wasn't good...So, I tried new ones, better ones, expensiver ones...Nada, niente, niks, rien, nothing. And then, as I became new at youtube and quite found of it, I learned that almost every girl who did they makeup used these little tubes call 'eye primer'. Miracle I'm saved! I run to the store, by the cheapest ( as always I don't believe the rule cheap=bad and expensive= good), come home, try it...Wrong turn, try again. So I go to the store, again, by another one, less cheap...Biiiiip. And then when i'm starting to think (wtf?) it can't work on everyone else but me! I realize that this rule might perhaps work for those kinds of emergencies. Anyway, all this to say that my eye makeup doesn't hold even after four hours of work and that I tried some different brands...I don't know. Maybe for this one i'll be obligated to go on higher street brands, thought about Benefit? Or...Any ideas?
Love to hear from you

Let's go colour people!

Yes, it's spring (supposably in Belgium...We'll see about that) and when the swatches today are pretty much all very colourfull and green (I have brown with yellow undertone eye), but I didn't realize it untill I came back home and put them all in my drawer.
So, let's begin with the famously announced, MAC dupe

1) MAC "club" eyeshadow >< CATRICE "hip hop on the tree top" mono eyeshadow

right: MAC, left CATRICE
The most impressive thing is that they are litterally THE SAME! except the price (11,50€ against 2,49€)
2) ESSENCE "Kermit says hello" mono eyeshadow  2€?

Lemony/Yellowy green with a shimmer effect
3)ESSENCE "Olive garden" mono eyeshadow
As the name says, Olive green with a Brown  and gold sparkle to it
4) ESSENCE "Jazzd up" holographic mono eyeshadow

Holographic means that the shadow has a 3D shade to it. This one is a mint with a silver and blue 3D effect.

5) ESSENCE "Forest gump" mono eyeshadow >< BOURJOIS eyeshadow refill n°52

Dark minty green with silver gold sparkles
The same! even the price because I bought the bourjois one on a retail long time ago...
I think that's it for the greens, now THE REST!

6) BOURJOIS minis in 44, 55, 57, 60, 61, 63, 64, 65 (all bought on a retail web site beetween 0,50€ and 1,50€)
All bought on a website for 0,50€ till 1,50€
From up left to down right...
44: Deep deep grey , almost black with sparkle to it
55: Peachy/orangy pink (corail?)  with a sparkle
57: Bourjois is the only brand in wich i accept the pink, generally I don't like pink, I don't wear it clothes or otherwise...But this one is so settle that it suits me well.
60: Bronzy light brown nude
61: Lilac
63: Turquoise
64: Another pink but more flashy and sheer not sprakly
65: Hazel bronzy/gold with a sprakle

I had them for a while but forgot to swatch them, besides I'waiting to get a pallet to put them all together but i didn't get a chance to buy it yet..To be continued

7) CATRICE "Heidi plum" mono eyeshadow
Is the name in relation with Heidi Klum? Don't know if the colour would suits her
Purple/ burgundy with gold sparkles.

8) ESSENCE "Blockbuster" mono eyeshadow (+/- 1,50€)
Finally a matt one!

That's originally what I go for...Nude, pretty ( HA! no it's ugly...:-) )

And that's it for the eyeshadows...Passing on to the blush, lipstick and nail polishes

ESSENCE "Secret it-girl" silky blush 3€?
Orange! Corail! Summer!

CATRICE "Pink me up!" ultimate colour liptick 3€?
Sorry 'bout the picture...Still on photo training ;-)

HEMA nail polishes, they only have numbers
I know...Not in order of description, like I said, I'm new at this!
01: Nude with a sheen
03: Orange flash
25: Romantic pink
203: Vampiry burgundy red
and a matt top coat wich I'm scared of using...Afraid of the change perhaps?

ESSENCE "Cotton candy" and "Falling in love" nail polishes
Both are nude, the first one is more of a satin pink
2,50 for Two!

All right! Enough with the make up, let's talk Shoes

Another addiction of mine ( already said? ) maybe because I know that my feet will never play the yo-yo card untill very old or else...When I shop, I always go the second-hand boutiques where it's sometimes cheaper plus, I kinda like the idea of giving a second life to clothes and accesories. One's misfortune is other's happiness. Another thing you must know 'bout me is I love vintage clothes, specially shoes (non enough said) and dresses even if I try to buy stuffs under 20 bocks when I do.

The first one are some black peep toes based on the late 30' and 40'.  They're not in suede, maybe an imitation?
It makes up wanna be girly and pretty every day

And then, my favorite for this summer ( hopefully in Brussels too) Blue suede sandals, late 50's or 60's.
Paid 15€ in another local shop called "JIPEX"
Don't step on my blue suede shoes!

Sorry for the ? after the prices but I litterally cannot remember then when I buy them every month ! bad bad
So here you go people! This time I didn't do ALL the swatches because well...You know, too much! BUT, if you want, you can only ask!! I know i'm only new at this and that people prefer someone that talks on youtube but I like change...

xoxo

In a bit of a hurry

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the delay, you know what it's like...Anyway, found a job so don't have much time no more BUT lots and lots of new and of course ( you know me) cheap stuffs with, for strater, the amazing MAC club eyeshadow dupe...One of my biggest and to be honest, unexpected find
So, I hope you'll still want me as a blogger and let me continue my pics and little advices on my pretty little (some days crappy and some days huge) world of envy and BEAUTY...Yes gals and guys this is what I do:  how to feel fresh, pretty, on the move, in the trends without ruin you all because everybody knows how makeup can be over expensive and to not think that all you do is buy ONE thing and then you're out (I admit I'm a bit of a make up/ shoe aholic)...Is this s*** don't seems understadable please comment.
Anyway...Like I said, pics will follow, and some more news to come

xoxo

May 2012, the shopping list!

1) Yves Rocher- Teint fluide zéro défaut in Beige 100 ( 18€)
2) Yves Rocher- Mascara beauté in Brun 71 (8,90€)
3) Max Factor- Masterpiece max high volume & definition mascara in black (2,50€ sample)
4) Gosh- Extreme art eye liner in 03, 14 and 06 (orange, grey and green (2,50 each))
5) Yves Rocher- Crayon regard in 41 violet electrique (5€)
6) Essence- Colour shine in 01 fabulous (3€)
7) MAC- Eyeshadow refill in Cranberry (11,50€)

All of these are under testing but so far:
Of course mac products are amazing and especially eyeshadows. This one works best with a black base ( like a water pencil or a gel liner as a shadow) Cranberry is my favorite, I had seen it in many youtube videos and many celebrities looks (don't forget Kristen Stewart's).I also like the Yves rocher foundation because I have a pale skin with a pink undertone so the beige really gets rid of all og my redness (around the nose and the chin) and for the moment, all I can say about the Gosh eye liners is that they are so super waterproof, in fact, once i've swatched them, I had to litteraly scrub to back of my hand with some eyeremover.

The swatch looks black but it's really a deep purple with sheen and sprakle

Burgundy

My camera does not like sparkle and it look orange !

It's not scary, just make up

They las For ever!

Tried to take it off, impossible

Max factor mini mini but big results!

I usually ude it for my brows

Good coverage, don't need much to work with

Vue d'ensemble

Hope you enjoyed!
xoxo

Happy crappy skin day

So today is a crappy day...Not in a weather figure of speech but in a beauty-skinny-pimple kind of way.
You see, today my skin sucks. I can't do anything with it, none the less put make up on it to hide some of the natural, human day i'm having because even THAT doesn't work!
So, you know, wathever
Happy crappy skin day for those who are in the same...situation than I.
